IDSL's scanning solutions convert paper (up to A00) & film documents to a searchable database of your scanned files. They are available in electronic formats including JPEG, Tiff and PDF amongst many others. We use the latest high-volume scanning equipment and leading-edge software operated by our in-house specialists. This provides a comprehensive document and records scanning service which incorporates indexing, archiving and data capturing technology.

Importantly, our scanning procedures follow British Standards BIP0008 (the legal test of admissibility & the evidential weight of information stored electronically). Archive Scanning

At the beginning of any scanning process, documents require manual intervention to prepare them for process such as un-binding, removing creases/folds, de-stapling etc. Using a range of high-speed, state-of-the-art scanners, we ensure the final scanned documents are of the highest image quality.
Image Processing

Aged or poor quality documents are scanned using our image processing service which applies cropping, de-skewing and filtering to lower quality documents, enhancing their image quality.
